Core Days
This diving cruise is purpose-built for exposure to the most prolific pelagic zones of the Southern Red Sea. The adventure commences at the Brother Islands, 2 exposed pinnacles where the sheer walls are utterly dominated by marine life. Big Brother and Little Brother offer world-class drift diving over walls draped in extensive soft corals, giant gorgonian fans, and sponges. This location is synonymous with powerful encounters, regularly delivering sightings of cruising grey reef sharks, hammerheads, and dense schools of tuna and jackfish.
The Red Sea Aggressor IV continues its pursuit of large marine life at the remote Daedalus Reef. Recognisable by its isolation and monumental lighthouse, the deep-ocean setting of Daedalus is a consistent hot spot. The deep drop-offs are exceptional for observing oceanic whitetip sharks, seasonal thresher sharks, and manta rays patrolling the blue. Below the surface, the healthy hard coral plateau teems with endemic Red Sea fish species.
We finalise the offshore adventure at the celebrated Elphinstone, renowned for its dramatic vertical walls and thrilling current dives over its northern and southern plateaus. To wind down the trip, the Red Sea Aggressor IV incorporates sheltered coastal dives near Marsa Alam. Sites such as Marsa Mubarak and Shaab Marsa Alam offer a gentle conclusion, known for providing serene visibility and sightings of grazing green sea turtles and the sought-after dugong. Other stops like Marsa Shoona and Ras Torombi ensure varied local dives, perfectly complementing your intensive open-ocean experience aboard the Red Sea Aggressor IV.

This extensive Deep South Red Sea diving expedition on the Red Sea Aggressor IV liveaboard begins upon boarding at Port Ghalib. Following a warm welcome from the crew, you will receive a safety and itinerary briefing before enjoying dinner in the saloon as the vessel prepares for its overnight transit south.
Core Days
This intensive dive safari is engineered for the Red Sea's most prolific pelagic action and best-preserved coral habitats. The tour takes the Red Sea Aggressor IV to the exposed, current-swept pinnacle of Daedalus Reef. Recognised by its offshore lighthouse, Daedalus is a primary aggregation point for oceanic whitetip sharks, seasonal hammerheads, and thresher sharks patrolling the deep blue, offering spectacular wall dives over its immense coral formations.
The exploration continues at the renowned St. John's Reefs, a vast network celebrated for its structural complexity and exceptional coral health. Divers here navigate sheer drop-offs, pinnacles, and intricate caverns, with sites like Habili Gafar and Habili Ali featuring flourishing hard corals and high concentrations of reef sharks, tuna, and barracuda. This region provides fantastic conditions for underwater photography, contrasting the wide-angle pelagic dives with intimate reef encounters.
We then delve into the Fury Shoals, an immense reef system known for its varied topography and calmer conditions. Highlights include Shaab Claudio, where light-dappled swim-throughs carve through giant porites coral blocks, and Malahi, famous for its coral mazes that are often home to green and hawksbill sea turtles. The vast, horse-shoe structure of Sataya offers a unique opportunity for respectful snorkelling with its resident pod of spinner dolphins.
Completing this deep-south adventure, the Red Sea Aggressor IV visits transitional sites that include the beautiful vertical wall of Shaab Maksour and local spots near Marsa Alam such as Shaab Marsa Alam and Marsa Mubarak, which are famous for turtles and the possibility of spotting dugongs. The final offshore stop, Elphinstone Reef, provides thrilling drift dives along its dramatic walls, securing this Red Sea Aggressor IV liveaboard trip as a definitive Red Sea experience.
